Champions League T20 cricket
The stage is set, the venues are finalised, the schedule is out and the squads are announced! Here are we are, all set for another enthralling T20 competition that includes T20 champions from around the world – a competition to decide the T20 champions of the champions, the Champions league T20 2013! Star Sports official website will provide live streaming of CLT20 2013 and all the matches along with highlights would be telecasted live on TV on channels like Star Cricket, ESPN and Star Cricket HD in India. The venue being India and this also happens to be the last T20 tournament of greats like Sachin and Dravid; cricket fans would certainly be excited for the league.
The schedule was announced on 23rd July 2013. The competition would begin on 17th September and the final will be played on 6th October 2013. The format of this tournament includes a qualifying stage followed by group stage and then the semi finals and finals. Four teams would play the qualifying rounds and two toppers would enter the group stage where they would face other eight teams that got a direct entry. The group stage will include two groups. Two toppers from each group will play the knock out stage!
Otago Volts, Faisalabad Wolves, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kandurata Maroons will play the qualifiers to take two places in the group stage where the already qualified eight teams are: Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Titans, Highveld Lions, Trinidad and Tobago, Perth Scorchers and Brisbane Heats.
