The whole cricket world was saddened with the shocking death of Phillip Hughes when he faced a life taking bouncer in a Sheffield Shield match. At one moment it seemed a match or two would be called off from India vs Australia 2014-15 test series. But sensible decisions from Cricket Australia and BCCI have resulted in full four matches with a change in the schedule. Its good to get back to cricket and let us all agree to it that even Phil Hughes up there would wish to have the game go on that he loved the most. Lot of love for late Phil Hughes who left a mark in Australia’s cricket history. Please note the revised schedule mentioned below:
1st test match at Adelaide – 9 to 13 December 2014
2nd test match at Brisbane – 17 to 21 December 2014
3rd test match at Melbourne – 26 to 30 December 2014
4th test match at Sydney – 6 to 10 January 2015
Cricket fans would also enjoy a tri nation ODI series between England, Australia and India just after the test series is concluded. That would serve another opportunity for the teams to get ready for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
Virat Kohli would lead team India in the first test. Dhoni who is recovering from a thumb injury would join the team from the second test at Brisbane. Michael Clarke who was struggling from injury is almost fit to play from the first test at Adelaide. With lot of youngsters pumped up to perform in this test series, let us expect some quality cricket.
